There is no published teacher-reported median here yet. For now, use the maintained directory to compare what employers and platforms actually disclose, then calculate a budget from your own paid hours.
Find the evidence behind a number
The pay research directory distinguishes advertised pay, teacher-set asking prices, non-hourly rates and unpublished pay. Each source date belongs to the claim checked. A pay check is not a fresh hiring check or evidence that a particular teacher earned that amount.
A useful comparison keeps the same currency, paid unit and kind of evidence together. Estimated bands do not belong in a ranking of published wages. Neither a student-facing price nor an advertised maximum establishes typical teacher earnings.

Two examples of why units matter
GoStudent’s UK programme: its payout FAQ lists GBP 13 per 50 minute English lesson. Conditional bonuses are additional. This is a UK lesson rate, not an hourly wage or a monthly income promise; the pay source does not establish applicant eligibility.
Cambly: its tutor page states USD 0.17 per minute of adult chat and USD 0.20 per minute on Cambly Kids. Count paid chat minutes; an hour of availability need not contain an hour of paid conversation. Its recorded new-tutor intake status is limited, with no approval timeline established here.
italki and AmazingTalker let tutors set prices under their respective terms; neither has a verified typical hourly wage in this directory. Outschool’s teacher-set class price is also different from a wage. Check each platform’s fee before calculating the amount remaining.
What a teacher-reported median would need
A median is the middle value in a set of reports. To interpret it, you also need the number of reports, their dates, currency, location, paid unit and treatment of fees and unpaid time. A small self-selected group cannot establish what every teacher earns.
This page has no verified median to publish and no publication schedule to promise. You can use the pay-report form to prepare an email draft about your experience. Opening the draft does not send it or store a report on this site.
When recording your own earnings, keep gross pay, platform deductions, other payment charges, money received and total working time separate. That gives you a more useful personal comparison than an unsupported platform ranking.
