Teach business English online
Business English helps learners communicate at work. Lessons might cover meetings, interviews, presentations or writing clear emails. Choose work that matches the situations you can teach well.
Find the right learners
Some schools organise classes for company employees. On marketplaces, individual learners may book a tutor for workplace communication. Read the role itself: a general English listing may not include corporate classes.
Find business English listings and compare the stated responsibilities with your experience.
Show what you can teach
- Choose a workplace task and a clear learning aim.
- Prepare a short activity, such as opening a meeting or making a polite request.
- Show how you adapt the task to the learner’s English level.
- Use fictional workplace materials unless you have permission to share real ones.
Describe relevant professional experience accurately. That experience can inform your lessons, but it does not replace any qualification the employer requires.
What you can charge
We have no evidence that business English always pays more. A specialist profile can carry an asking price, but only lessons you actually book and get paid for are income.
Read the current platform pages for pay and fees. Count preparation, learner messages, unpaid gaps between lessons and payout costs when you review your earnings.
Check the teaching arrangement
Ask who supplies the materials, how groups are scheduled, whether cancellations are paid and what progress reporting is expected. Corporate teaching can include preparation and reporting beyond the live lesson.
Save suitable jobs and your questions before applying.
