Plan your part time online teaching work

Twenty hours available for teaching is not the same as twenty paid lesson hours. Build your plan around the time the role actually requires and the bookings you can reasonably expect.

Separate availability from paid work

Record booked lessons, preparation, marking, learner messages and required meetings. Check which activities the employer pays for. Keep unpaid gaps visible instead of treating every available hour as income.

Use a scenario, then compare it with reality

For a clearly labelled example, 10 paid hours at USD 15 per hour produce USD 150 before any applicable fees and tax. That calculation does not predict how many hours you will book.

Check the schedule before accepting

Required teaching windows and time zone.
Minimum availability and any guaranteed hours.
