Look for an explicit statement that a degree is not required. If a listing does not mention a degree, that is not the same as saying anyone can apply. Check the current employer page before spending time on an application.

A marketplace profile and a teaching vacancy are not the same thing. A marketplace lets an approved teacher offer lessons; students choose whom to book.

Build an application around your teaching

• Describe the learners and subjects you can teach.
• Prepare a short introduction video with clear sound and a simple lesson example.
• Describe relevant tutoring, classroom, training or volunteer experience, and keep it accurate.
• Check whether a certificate, a background check or a specific location is required.

Check pay separately

A degree rule does not tell you what a role pays. Note the original currency and pay unit, check the fees, and ask whether preparation and trial lessons are paid. An asking price on a tutor profile is not a wage.

When a teaching certificate matters

Requirements differ by employer and programme. Check the roles you want before choosing a course. A certificate is not a universal substitute for a degree.
