Plain Chalk does not currently send a newsletter or collect newsletter subscriptions. For updates, use the RSS feeds on the job alerts page.

A feed reader is an app that brings updates from websites into one place. Copy a feed address from the feed picker and add it to the reader you use.

What the feeds contain

The feeds cover records in the platform directory, with options for maths, qualifications and other published requirements. They do not include every individual vacancy on the job board.

Open each record to check the source, original pay terms and date it was checked. A feed update is not an employer posting date.

Keep track of roles you like

On the job board, save a role to keep it in this browser. In Saved jobs, add your own stage and notes and export a backup before moving devices or clearing browser data.

Read the record before applying

There is no newsletter issue to sample: Plain Chalk does not currently publish newsletter issues. If you want to follow the board anyway, here is the routine that works on a feed update.

• Check the work and requirements. Read the subject, learners, online arrangement and applicant-location rules. Missing requirements do not mean everyone qualifies.
• Keep the pay unit in view. An hourly rate, a class price and a monthly amount describe different things. Check fees, unpaid preparation and trial terms where available.
• Open the source. The source-check date records a review of that page. Confirm the current application status and terms with the employer.
• Keep your shortlist. Use Saved jobs to hold roles and notes in this browser, or read how to prepare your first application.
