Preparing Plain Chalk for launch
The website is being prepared for its first release. These notes describe the current tools and recent improvements. Each job listing carries its own source-check date.
September 2026: preparing the job search
- Online teaching jobs. The job board brings together English, English language arts and maths roles, with links to the employer's application route.
- Clearer pay evidence. Listings retain the source's original currency and paid unit. Unpublished pay stays visible as unpublished. See how we describe the evidence.
- Saved jobs. Teachers can keep a browser list with stages and notes, and export a backup.
- Practical preparation. The guides and tools include application checklists, pay scenarios, lesson materials and an editable lesson planner.
- A consistent identity. The chalk globe, Plain Chalk wordmark and shared colours and type give the website a consistent identity.
Changes to the listings
The listing change log records changes between data snapshots. A page rebuild does not mean an employer posted a new vacancy or that every source was checked again.
Before applying, open the employer's current page and check the role, requirements, pay terms and application status.
Follow updates
Use a feed reader to follow our published job feeds, or return to the job board. Plain Chalk does not currently send newsletter emails.
